A new modern home in Ancaster, ON. One of the main requirements of this project was to create a simple structure with a continuous balcony for the 2nd floor. The dark stone massing compliments the light canopy and “anchors” the building down.

A clean, simple modern home, with a continuous balcony spanning the full width of the second floor as a key requirement.

Design Approach

A restrained, simple massing in which a dark stone volume "anchors" the building while a lighter canopy provides contrast and lift.

Outcome

Completed in 2021.
